Many states require graduation from an ABET accredited program before you can take the PE exam. Check with your state to be sure what the requirements are. If this is the requirement you probably do not want to enroll in a non-ABET accredited school.
If you cannot find an ABET program, you MAY be able to do the first 2-3 years at a non-ABET accredited institution and transfer in to an ABET accredited school to finish your degree. Check with the ABET schools you are interested in to see if they will allow this.
The following BACHELOR'S degrees are just some of those available by distance ed. (ABET accreditation is stated where applicable):
CHEMICAL ENGINEERING 1 - Bachelor's limited to ND
CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY 2 - Bachelor's (1 is ABET accredited - but limited to residents of Indiana, North Carolina, New York, Virginia)

You may want to check with the schools offering Master's programs and see if they offer individual courses at the Bachelor's level. If so, you can transfer those into any other program you choose. |
